  • My wife had spent thousands on a course with nearly 100 hours worth of practical training. What we hadn’t realised is that one hour of quality tuition can be equivalent to 100 hours of waffling. We realised that when we were forced to go to Tony Curran. He guided us mentored us supported us and brought us to the standard where we could succeed. We binged on his videos and held onto his every word. It wasn’t a miracle job, it was fixing mistakes of others which is more difficult than performing a miracle. My family owe him a lot and see him as family. Please don’t make the same mistake we made don’t blow your money on companies who offer services without a human and natural approach. You will end up paying for it in more ways than one. TC is a legend and a man who cares.

  • Thank you everyone. Tony Curran, what can I say. I was so calm before my test... but of course that didn't last long... did it Tony. That lesson before the test was the hardest EVER.. I actually wanted to cry. I was so nervous when I say Ian I nearly passed out!!! There were times when I could have strangled "Tony the Pupil" but I'm glad I didn't. Tony I want to thank you for your unique way of teaching. Who knew there was a method to your madness. I will miss my weekly trips to Luton and I shall miss our conversations from Corrie to Politics. You have been a fantastic tutor your sense of humour and your way of teaching is certainly a winning combination. Thank you so much. See you soon and yes, I will bake you a chocolate swiss roll with fresh cream filling.😘😘😘😘

  • With the announcement of the new part 3, I thought there is a hope for me to get qualified as a driving instructor, as the actual format of part 3 looked impossible for me to pass the exam. Several guys recommended me, to do my training with Tony Curran as his pass rate it's the highest in the country. I did the training with Tony and passed on the first attempt. His knowledge and his friendly approach helped me to learn quick and pass. Thank you Tony!!

  • Nice text I just received Hello Tony. My name is Ken Vaughan. You don't know me, we've never met but I feel I know you like an old friend. Up untill today I was a PDI. I passed part three this afternoon with a 5 and a 5. A large part of that was down to watching your videos on you tube. I think you are an excellent teacher, I will continue to watch your videos to try and become a better instructor myself. Many thanks. Ken Vaughan ADI IAM.

  • Lovely testimonial from Koyas who passed part 2 this morning. Hi Tony, Thank you very much for your unique, unrivalled teaching technique and your expert guidance. I passed my part 2 today 1st time and without you I would not have been able to achieve this. Your excellent instruction made learning fun and gave me the knowledge and confidence to pass my 1st and 2nd parts, I'm looking forward to training and completing my part 3 with your excellent guidance. Your YouTube videos are excellent and an invaluable tool and I would undoubtedly recommend you to anyone wanting to train to be an ADI. You are best, Thank you again.

  • Lovely words from Ranji who passed her part 3 Hi Tony, Here's a testimonial for you.

Thank you so much for helping me pass. I honestly could not have done this without you. You truly are a miracle worker. You took someone like me as your pupil for part three training at the start of June and gave me the skills, strength and encouragement to pass by the end of that very same month and to top it all off I passed in my first attempt at this test. I can't thank you enough. I can honestly admit that had I been with any other trainer I would never have got here. And yes I love you completely.... Your the best trainer ever... in the world Rajni 😁

  • I started training for my ADI part 3 in the summer of 2016. I failed my first attempt in Dec 2016. I felt that I was inadequately prepared for the test. I then started training with Tony. Things began to click and I gained confidence. His training techniques are superb and his great sense of humour definitely helped. I can honestly say I would NEVER have passed without Tony’s training. I will miss our Cafe breaks!!! I cant recommend his high standard of training enough. Thanks Tony.

  • So pleased to now be a Fully qualified Driving Instructor . 12 Months Plus of hard Work have finally got me to this day. Many thanks to Tony Curran for persevering with me throughout. The best investment in myself to be a fully qualified and skilled ADI.
Now the real work begins to maintain those standards I've been taught. Thank you Tony XX And yes , I think I do love you 😉.

  • Dear Tony, Thank you so much for all you have done to help and guide me over the past few months - leading to my Part 3 Pass yesterday - I couldn't have done it without your expert guidance. Your wise words and brilliant instruction made learning fun and have given me the knowledge and confidence to believe in myself. I learned so much from our lessons and also from watching your brilliant You Tube videos and I would recommend you to anyone wanting to train to be an ADI. You're the best of the best! Cheers Naz

  • Tony were do I begin? You are the best trainer ever! I could never have passed without you and there is no doubt about that. I have struggled a lot and came to you after passing my Part1 with such a short period of time, you helped me, supported me and guided me in order to make sure I achieve my goals and reach my full potential. I have had training from a few trainers before and I cannot emphasis how you are the best in what you do. You are the most calmest, funniest and the strictest trainer of them all! The way you have structured the training and the resources you have produced in order to help potential driving instructors succeed cannot be praised enough. Your YouTube videos are just great and have helped me become a qualified driving instructor. Thank you so much for taking me on and making me believe in myself and push me to achieve my goals. I will never forget the key to my success, thank you ever so much Tony. And if anyone is interested in becoming a driving instructor and you're reading this, then don't waste your time in finding someone else because Tony is the right person to come to! Also I will miss our coffee breaks more than anything 👍😊😀

    Thank you so much, Nasreen.

  • Evening Tony. Passed my part 3 today 5/5. I must have listened to your videos on YouTube 3 hours a day since I passed part 2 beginning of August. I found your videos a key part of my success. My favourites were debs and Maxine. Thanks Luke

  • Lovely PM from Tony Tony Melling Hi Tony. Passed Part 3 today on my second attempt and got a 4:4. I'd just like to say it wouldn't have been possible without your YouTube videos. I can't thank you enough mate! Special mention to 'Andy' and 'Debs' too! 🍾👏🍾👍

  • Just want to say thank you Tony for all your help. My biggest win from your tutorials was knowledge and skills thanks to which I passed my ordit assessment with ease. You offered step by step guidance on how to become the best in our field. It will definitely make significant difference in my business. Thanks for helping me to achieve another important goal in my career.

  • Hi Tony, I just wanted to thank you for your hard work and support over the last few months. You bought my confidence from very bottom to top and I'll always be grateful for your help in getting me to be a safer driver. On top of this I have now passed my part 3 and can not wait to start my new career. Thanks for everything :)

  • I would like to say a big thank you to Tony Curran for teaching me everything i needed to pass my part 3 first attempt! The part 3 training and test is such a daunting thing to take on but Tony makes the whole experience enjoyable and teaches in a way that simplifies the whole process. There's a reason he has such a good pass rate and i can't thank him enough. Gonna miss our coffee breaks!

  • Lovely testimonial from Haji Gul Boom!! Passed my part 3 today! A MASSIVE thank you to Tony Curran for making this possible. If your looking for a trainer get in touch with Tony you won't regret it! I had other trainers before and felt their methods were not working for me. Tony brought the best out of me and what I liked the most was Tony didn't rumble my head like others did and got straight to the point of what was needed. I thoroughly enjoyed my training and we had many laughs on the way. Don't let distance be an issue I travelled 2 and half hours there and then back again each week. Was it worth it? YESSS!!! Result!!! PASS!!! Thank you so much Tony. Forever grateful. Your the man! 😀 haji

  • Lovely testimonial from Mehwesh F Mughal who passed her part 3 yesterday, Finally passed my past three with the help of Tony. Couldn't have done it without his expertise. He didn't give up on me and if it meant going through things again and again that's what we did. Previous training was nothing compared to the standard Tony taught. Would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants to get into this field of work. Thank you once again.

  • My testimony

Some years ago I passed ‘The Knowledge of London’, an intensive course which qualified me to become a London taxi driver. I loved my job, but things have changed drastically recently, making me realise that I had to consider a new career.

I love driving, so the idea of training to become an ADI sounded perfect. After doing some research, it didn't take long to realise that the path to becoming an ADI is pretty intense- and that having a qualified trainer is absolutely vital. It also didn’t take long to discover that one of the most respected teachers in their field is Tony Curran.

I decided to go with Tony and can safely say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. He got me through Part 2 no problem, and when it came to training for Part 3 his expertise was second to none, enabling me to pass on my first attempt. As well as teaching me everything there is to know, Tony’s encouraged me, supported me, been there for me and become a friend for life. This man knows the industry inside out and by helping me pass my part 3 today, he’s put me on the path to a new livelihood.

    In short, he’s brilliant.

    Thanks Tony.

  •   Nice message from Kevin Hackman Hi Tony; I just wanted to say a big "thank you" to you. My first PDI has become an ADI today passing her Part 3 just missing a 5/6 with a great 5/5 on PST 5. She passed first time too! You turned me from a PDI not quite knowing what to do with all the knowledge to someone with the ability to now train another. You're a role model for me & I strive to deliver training in a similar style as you with the same amount of enthusiasm & dedication to my PDI. I have my second PDI on the go already & currently preparing for his Part 2. Thank you buddy, you transformed me 18 months ago & I'm so grateful to you for all your support. Please fell free to post this on your page 👍😊 Best wishes. Kevin

  • Hi Tony,   My testimonial:   Tony has, I believe, and unique way of teaching - guiding and coaxing his PDIs into thinking for themselves, when instructing - with no long speeches - as I found with previous instructors. Tony just cuts to chase, and gets on with it.   My first experience of Tony’s teaching style, was from watching his videos on YouTube – at the time I was with another instructor – and immediately liked his method; his use of humour and the, always absent, golf-playing Fred, who we pretend to fill in for. And then, there’s Tony’s “wife” who it seems - in theory one hopes - drives like a maniac; rests her elbow on the doorsill while steering, and doesn’t allow Tony any friends, just acquaintances, if that!    Because I lived a quite a distance away, I hadn’t considered taking lessons with him. But when I became disappointed with my current instructor, I decided that, despite the journey, I had to get in touch, and from day one, I was giving, or at least attempting, to give Tony – role playing a pupil – a driving lesson.   Although Tony has extensive of knowledge of his subject – as I found during the course of my training - he doesn’t overwhelm you with it, but passes that knowledge on with a modesty, which I would struggle to do in his place.   And unlike, I suspect, some instructors, Tony cares, not just about getting his pupil’s to pass the test, but in making good instructors for the future.   It been said often by others, here and elsewhere, and I also, have no hesitation in recommending Tony to you.    Kind regards,   AndyIMG_0625

  • I just wanted to say a massive thank you for getting me through my driving instructor training.   You're instruction has been brilliant and bang on the money. You're continuing drive to increase your knowledge of the instructor teaching process makes such a difference and even the way that you have adapted the knowledge you've given me since I started my training with you, allowed me to go into all my tests, but, especially my part 3 confident and fully armed to give it my best shot.   I can see why students travel hundreds of miles to get to you, and even if I wasn't just a 40 minute drive away, I would have travelled to get the invaluable lessons that you've given me.   I'll miss my baguettes in the Hardware (a.k.a your office) Cafe, but, we'll be back there for my standards check 😊😉   If anyone is looking for instructor training Tony Curran at TC Training is the main man.   Thanks again Tony   George Berry ADI 🎉 IMG_0645

  • Nice testimonial from Marcus I would like to say a big thank you to Tony for all of his training and support whilst under taking my part 3 training. Although I didn't plan on using Tony for my training after one session with him I knew he would be the man to get me through, what I would describe as the hardest test I've ever taken. Very professional, easy going and over all a very pleasant learning experience highly recommend Tony to any one considering becoming a driving instructor! Many thanks again.IMG_0597 (2)

  • I just wanted to say a big thank you to Tony Curran TC Instructor Training for getting me through part 1, 2 and 3 of my driving instructor training. I am now half-way through my first week as a fully qualified ADI and loving it. Tony has been an incredible help, really knows what he's talking about and finds a way to bring out the best in you. His sense of humour and (sometimes dodgy =p) jokes keep it from becoming a normal boring training experience and he has become a good friend. I am very fortunate that he doesn't live much more than a half-hour drive from me but would have been willing to travel a lot further for the top class training I got. If you're in any doubt about training with TC Instructor Training, give Tony a call, you won't regret it.IMG_0576

  • Lovely Testimonial from Debbie Brewer Adi Just wanted to say a big Thank You! to Tony Curran, for the excellent training he gave me for my part three Ordit Test. With Tony's help. I knew exactly what to expect at the test, and felt prepared, competent and ready for it. Tony is patient, friendly and clearly an expert in his field, and I would definitely recommend him to any ADIs who are thinking of doing the Ordit. Tony has been a brilliant trainer since I first started training with him at the beginning of my ADI career. With his help, I have since passed part 1, 2 and 3, taken the RoSPA and achieved Gold, passed my Fleet, and now my Ordit, and I'm looking forward to continuing to enrich my career with driving instructor training. Huge thanks Shins! Debs smile emoticon www.debsinstructortraining.com www.debsdrivingschool.com

  • Matthew Rowan 26 January at 14:27 As a fellow driving instructor trainer myself, I appreciate how important it is to deliver structured driving tuition to potential driving instructors, Tony does an amazing job and has like ourselves had many success stories, so if your looking for good quality tuition and you are requiring help with parts 1,2 or 3, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

  • Colin Osborn Today at 17:43 Hi, I own Osborns School of Motoring Ltd, and I have had the pleasure of having instructors working for me that have been trained by Tony Curran, of TC Instructor Training. These instructors are very well-prepared for life as a driving instructor and have good pupil retention and high pass rates. I fully endorse and recommend Tony to anyone looking for an instructor trainer, even if you aren't local to Hertfordshire, he is worth the journey. Colin Osborn Osborns School of Motoring Ltd

  • From: Telephone* Subject: Thankyou from Cornwall. Message Body: Hi Tony, I am a retired Beds Police Inspector, who now lives in West Cornwall. I just wanted to say a big thankyou for the help you unknowingly gave me from watching many hours of your Part 3 Youtube videos! Not only did I try and put your methods into practice, your videos brought back fond memories of my home county. I enjoyed watching you working around the streets of Luton, a demanding area I policed for many years. I know I couldn't put any business your way in view of where I am now, but would like you to know however that I certainly would have if I were still in the area. I hope this message gets across that you are making a difference far and wide! I trained with the AA here, and achieved a first time basic pass on my Part 3 last Thursday. I'm very keen to improve further, so will continue watching! If I am in the area and need further training, I will make contact with you. Kind regards. Phil.

  • Hi Tony, I just wanted to write to say thank you for all the top class training you gave to me. You really have that rare ability to train people whilst making it fun when it needs to be fun, serious when it needs to be serious, but always productive. You work hard for your pdi's and expect the same hard work from them. With your excellent training techniques along with your Utube material, I would recommend you to any one wishing to train as an approved driving instructor. When my part 3 was cancelled on Friday you (because you are a respected trainer at Luton) managed to secure me a test on Saturday morning after explaining my circumstances (moving to another part of the country the next day) You went out your way to secure the test and make yourself available early Saturday morning for me, and I appreciate and respect you for that. See you soon mate. Johnjohn 020

  • I found that I was very lucky to have found Tonny thorough his you tube videos . I was able to learn for the part 3 lessons on his you tube and found them very help full . Also it was all free for every one , whereas others wear charging money , taking his teaching skills into consideration , I decided to meet up with him ,so that he could fully prepare me for the part 3 exam . . I do been with a few instructors before Tonny , and paid quite high amount of money . But what they taught me to more confusion, I am grateful I had Tonny as a teacher . Tonny taught me what I needed to know in order to pass my part 3 exam , no more , no less , his lessens wear well planned out and learning from him was a great fun experience . Tonny is simply amazing

  • Nice testimonial from Mick Toal, Before choosing an ADI trainer I did a bit of research on the Internet and I'm so glad I did as I found Tony. He helped me through my part 1, 2, and 3 passing all 3 parts first time. The experience and knowledge tony has really are admirable. The sessions were tough but Tony made them fun too. I travelled down from Scotland for every session and I wouldn't have had it any other way. The man is a star ! I will miss travelling down for my sessions with Tony but u know he's only a phone call away. Mick Toal 006

  • Nice text I got today Hi Tony, my name is Douglas and have just passed my part 3 exam today. You don't know me, but I feel like I know you because I have watched a huge amount of your training videos. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to yourself ( and all your pupils like Debs, Clark, Andy , Maxine, April etc) who have provided me with the knowledge, ability and confidence to get through this. Today was my final attempt, so I have spent the last 2 months with all of you to try and get over the final hurdle. I genuinely couldn't have got there without your help and superb training. I just wanted to let you know. Many many thanks .

  • Thank Tony for helping pass my part 3 exam,I was so much more confident going to the test after spending a short time with yourself. You truly are scholar and gentlemen10478994_634634210000423_6863541348885405601_n

  • Hi all, Just wanted to share my story and the testimonial I forwarded to Tony Curran today. Early last year I failed my ADI part 3 test for the second time with a result I which deflated me of 2-3. Having spent thousands of pounds with my then trainer, I had lost all confidence in myself and my trainer, I had also fallen out of love with the idea of becoming a driving instructor altogether. Late last year, I felt ready to go again – but I knew I needed another trainer. Having been a member of an instructor forum I found Tony Curran. Tony is based near Luton so it meant for me travelling down from Scotland. My theory was if you want the best you make it happen! Having trained with Tony for the last few months it was like someone turned on a switch in my head.. That light bulb moment. With a huge amount of experience his vast amount of knowledge shines through, he also understood my situation and I believe was quite sensitive to the fact I only had 1 attempt left! A few days ago I passed my part 3, a lot of hard graft was required on my part but I say sincerely I couldn’t have done it without Tony’s help! If you are truly serious about becoming a driving instructor or are having difficulty passing, contact the man – there is no one else I’d rather recommend! Once I am back down in the area I will be looking forward to catching up with Tony and his good friend George for a drink! Thanks Tony, Graeme My advice to any PDI on their part 3 - If you make mistake's during your exam or you think you've lost control - stick with it, take a deep breath, pull him in if necessary, fight for your green badge until the SE say's thank you very much at the end of phase 2. • Hi tony,is this PIC ok or shall i take a clearer one? I could not come to you later for training because of financial reason and work place wasn't willing to give me any time off. I can not thank you enough for saving my badge. Now I just need to find out how to earn money whether I create website or go franchise route. You mentioned AA is good I will speak to them Take care Best regards Rajesh P.S I will definitely come for ordit training once I have enough money.

  • After going through the qualification process to become an ADI once & failing my part 3 on each attempt, a friend recommended Tony Curran to me. I watched Tony's successes & excellent online videos with great interest during the month it took to start over & pass part 1 & part 2 again. I had around 3 weeks to get prepared for part 3 & quite a few bad habits! Tony was fantastic at assessing my weaknesses & working with me on them. Tony has the ability to really get the teaching points across in a way that I hadn't experienced before during training. I would highly recommend Tony, he really goes the extra mile (e.g. great patience & giving up his weekends). This time around, I passed all 3 parts in just over 2 months which I know would not have been possible without the excellent recovery training from Tony; thank you so much! Kevin 025

  • Nice pm from Gerry who passed part 3 yesterday Hi Tony, just a wee thanks regarding your Adi part 3 videos. Been watching them non stop for three months and yesterday passed my part 3 with a 4/5 delighted with that. All down to seeing how it should be done and learning from errors made, great stuff. Let me know next time you're in Glasgow there's a few pints of the black stuff with your name on them thanks again mate

  • Well what a journey that was! I really underestimated how hard it was going to be to finally become an ADI which I have wanted for so long. I originally started out 8 years ago with the instructor college, I got to part 2 but unfortunately I had multiple hip operations which meant my time ran out to complete the whole process. Then the instructor college went broke and left me in the lurch. I searched for local pay as you go trainers to hopefully pick up where I left off. I came across Tony. To be honest I didn't do much research he was just the first one pretty local to me on Google! Well I later realised I had found a true gem. Tony has the right mix of fun and work. We really did have a laugh at times but he then also managed to make me knuckle down and focus on getting my head around the sessions. The knowledge that he has amazed me, he could always answer any questions I had, was always on the ball and he really know his stuff! He really was great at building my confidence even after I may have struggled with a part of the training and felt defeated particularly with part 3. I am truly grateful for the help you have given me tony and also the times you have picked up the phone to talk to me to help me out when you have known I was struggling to see my own ability. I have not only finally achieved my dream of becoming an ADI I have also gained a few friends along the way one of which I know will be a life long friend TONY! Thanks again mate I will never forget the experience we went through together and would highly recommend you to anyone without a shadow of a doubt! Going to miss our lessons! • Lovely testimonial from Michael who passed his part 2 yesterday at Luton. A big thanks to Tony for all his help in getting me test ready for part 2. Passed yesterday first time all down to Tony. Now time for the hard work...part 3 !!!Thank you. Michael Michael part 2 pass 002

  • Nice testimonial from Ali I've been a qualified ADI instructor for a year now, however only been in practice for a few months. My impending check test was daunting to say the least! Booked myself back in with Tony to help me prepare. He certainly put me at ease and reminded me why I initally went with him as my ADI instructor. Passed my check tesy with flying colours! Couldn't have done any of this without Tony Curran's encouragement - top instructor! Much recommended.

  • Nico Adamou 24 January at 09:36 · . For those of you that don't know. I past my Ordit Test yesterday. A BIG THANK YOU to my main man, friend, trainer and mentor Tony Curran. A BIG THANKS to Maxine Nicholls for her help in being my pdi on the day. ( those who don't know what ordit is? I can now teach people to become driving instructor) nico 005

  • Dear Tony, thank you for all your time, effort and patience, I'm so happy i chose you as my instructor, it's been great and i will certainly recommend you. Madegenla 003;))

  • Well where do I begin... What an experience it has been. When I first met you I had no faith in myself and the passion for the job had disappeared. In a few months what a turn around! You made the whole experience fun and easy to understand and I soon remembered why I wanted this so badly. Without you I wouldn't have been able to become an ADI... Still hasn't had time to sink in. In this process I've not only met an amazing trainer. I've gained a cracking friend. Thank you for your patients and guidance. You believed in me even when I didn't believe in myself and for that I will be forever grateful. Time to spread my wings and start this great adventure. See you soon

  • Testimonial from Michael who passed part 3 yesterday,

    Hi Tony

Following my Pt3 pass in Luton yesterday (with just 20 days left before the expiry of my pink license), I'd just like to says thanks for all the effort you put in to get me where I needed to be this month. Given that I only started training with you halfway through my PDI license, and the fact that I had received very little useful instructor training from my previous school, it was always going to be a bit of a task. But with intelligent instruction and proven methods, you pulled it off. Well done, and thanks.

  • *testimonial* I went to tony after failing my part 3 first time with another trainer. All I can say is thank you thank you thank you!! I didn't realize how much I didn't know!! • lovely testimonial from Elaine Hessey ADI who passed last Friday. My partner is a driving instructor and trained with a well known school. When I decided to sta...rt training l wanted to learn in a one to one environment. My partner asked a forum full of instructors and Tony Curran's name kept coming up again and again. My first lesson was very daunting but Tony put me at ease straight away and never made me feel stupid. The lessons where fun but you also felt like you had learnt so much by the end of each one. Tony was very patient but he knew when I needed to be pushed and it really paid off as of last week, I passed my part 3 and am now looking forward to using all the knowledge and experience Tony has taught me. Thank you so much Tony, I have not only learnt how to instruct but I have made a friend along the way. Elaine Elaine part 3 pass 008

I had thought about becoming an Instructor a few years back, but for some reason I never really had the confidence to pursue it..............until a year an a half ago when I met Tony.

Tony was professional, supportive and put me at ease throughout my training.

Despite the intensity, it was really fun and by the end of each lesson I felt I'd achieved something new. I can't recommend Tony enough and if you're thinking of learning to be an ADI then look no further. Tony - Thanks for everything. Not only did I get top training from a great trainer, I also gained a friend!

  • Hi all, have been reading this forum for the past year and in my heart of hearts never really thought I'd been doing my 'I've done it!' Post. It's taken me just over a year to complete my adi training, passed parts 1 and 2 first time and part 3 second time, today in loughton Essex. I had a quarter life crisis in August 2012 and didn't know where my life was going, I have no job satisfaction and it's so demoralising. I wanted to earn money doing something I love, and not look back in 10 years time and go, aw I wished I'd tried that when I was younger, it's cost me a lot of money!! But that's my fault partly as I had lessons pretty much every other week since April last year, ekk, I will never be adding that up! I was quite okay with parts 1 and 2 and when I then failed my part 3 on my first attempt in October last year, I was crushed. Maybe this wasn't the profession for me?! But I pursued my dream and kept reading the forums and watching the you tube videos.... This is really a thank u post to all pdis and adis that contribute to the information on here, your individual websites and the you tube videos are fantastic!!!! My trainer is grade 6 and very skilled at what he does, but also quite old school and it's his way or the highway, which I found difficult to work with sometimes, and I struggled loads on my phase 2 learning. I got only a 2 (awful) on my first attempt at part 3 and so I knew it was such a weak link in my knowledge in how to deal with a person that could, in essence, drive, but was doing lots of things wrong at every single junction / roundabout/ xing. I want to give a special mention to tony curran at this point, your you tube videos are outstanding. The main thing that strikes me is how well you portray exactly how an examiner will act. It really is spot on, and I haven't seen it done better! Your willingness to share this wealth of knowledge and experience definitely contributed to my success today. Even to the point where if I was going to fail today, I was going to be on the phone to you booking in some training sessions! Actually it's a shame as I would have loved to have had a lesson with you... you aren't based too far from me so maybe our paths will cross in the future. Well ill back to the point, I had pst 9 today , and got a 4-5. Was very chuffed as got a FLH for phase 2 and at the end thought...uh oh I may have over instructed? - thankfully that wasn't the case. I missed a few ref points on emerge and speed on approach on one xroads and that caused me to obtain the 4. On phase 2 I got all 5s and 6s and I never could have dreamed of such a result just getting my training from my instructor. but like you all say, now the hard work really begins! I will be working on a franchise basis with a local firm, but the fee is not fixed, it's balanced on how many lessons I actually do. I feel that I need the support of a well established local school so I don't have to think about a brand and every other pressure that comes with going independent right from the get go! But this is the goal in the future. Any pdis reading this, go for it, study hard, learn your road procedures inside out, Id analyse and remedy every single fault u can think of, and practise this over and over! One mistake I made was getting so bogged down in the briefings for phase 1 and 'set questions' I could grab from in phase 2... Don't get me wrong q and a is vital and knowings your briefings well are a good starting point, but remember it's all about your ability to instruct... Putting rights what the se is putting wrong, and why they should correct it before there are serious consequences. Se's lifelines also key to look out for, at one point I got muddled and said a xroad that we had just turned right at , was not a xroad, I got confused, it was staggered and my brain was racing, he went back to that point and I then corrected myself. They are not there to fail you, they are they to make sure you can instruct to a good standard. Well I hope this helps a few people, and look forward to any comments.

  •

A Big Thanks to my main man, friend and mentor, Tony Curran. Thank for all your advice and help and training for my Standards Check. Thanks.

  • IMG_9763I felt really nervous for my check test, as this one was my first. I didn't really know what to expect with the new changes, I had only taken my part 3 so it's going to be more difficult real life learner all subjects included on the move  which scared me because I'm out there on my own now, no trainer no one to say your doing really well as an instructor but experience helps doesn't it but you need that confirmation from someone who knows  the industry, who has the experience to tell you your doing the right things or to give you the correct guidance that's where Tony curran comes in, any questions he is the man to ask. He is wise and great at what he does. He has helped me Develop as an instructor as well as getting this career. He fitted me in for training before my check test promptly and worked me hard because he gets the best out of me and knows I'm capable. Tony Gave me great skills and guidance and it has paid off. Thank you very much I'm so pleased I passed my check test today at Ashford Middlesex with a grade B.  April your favourite instructor

  •   Early last year I failed my ADI part 3 test for the second time with a result I which deflated me of 2-3. Graham 002

  • "Hello I am Sushma from London, I recently passed my ADI PART 3 test first attempt & scored 5/5. I did my part 1& part 2 on my own with my husband's help who too is an instructor. But part 3 I got lost, I started questioning myself coz I didn't get the hang of what, why, how & the consequence. Then I started looking for tips in YouTube & bingo I found you. Your training videos on YouTube were really helpful, watching all your videos sincerely made my life easier. The way you teach is just brilliant & some comment you pass were hilarious. I enjoyed watching each & every video you updated & still am even after passing my test

  • Hi I had what I believe is called a recovery or rescue training with T C Instructor Training, tony was great, from the very first lesson with him I found out what core comps meant and why i was only getting 2/3 in the last 2 boxes,i was spotting the faults but not doing anything about them sad but that was after spending near on £3000, tony was just great with me at the end of 3 hours of training i knew in my own mind i could get myself a pass on my next part 3 and I did with 5/5, so a big thank you tony and i will make more of a effort to keep in touch.

  • I passed my Part 3 first time last monday, 16th May 2011 in Luton. I had been training with a Northern training school but felt I wasn’t getting the comprehensive, detailed training or the support that Blaines site offers. I joined the site some months ago and as well as watching the videos I met Tony Curran who gave me remedial lessons. Tony got me through the part 3! Although I live in West London I was willing to travel to Harpenden to receive some professional, hard training. He is a joy to work with, he finds your weaknesses and works on them. Tony and I have become good friends, indeed a friend for life. I highly recommend Tony as a trainer. I just wish I had found Blaine and Tony sooner. Good luck to you all.

  • I would like to say a big thank you Tony, when we first got together myself and the 8 other trainees were in a bad place, boss of the school taken ill, each of us had paid £2600 and now found we had no trainer, when you agreed to take over our training I know there was very little chance of you ever getting paid and I know you still have not been paid, but going out with you for the first time I noticed your training was nothing like the training I had taken over the previous months, using the Blaine videos was a great help,be able to go home after training and watch the psts we had covered was a great learning tool, Tony you got 8 of us through part 2/3 first time and the last one through part2 first time and part 3 second time, so I think I can speak for all of them when I say a big thank you, I would also like to thank you for been my business partner and helping me with the Blaine train the trainer course,Tony again from all of us a big thank you,

  • I started my Driving Instructor Training towards the end of 2009, but due to the untimely illness of the company owner, myself and a number of other trainees were left with the prospect of no training. Fortunately, Tony stepped in to continue my training and he helped me get through both the part 2 and part 3 tests. Tony’s tremendous support and encouragement played a vital part in enabling me to complete my training and pass the tests. Tony remains in touch and continues to help and support me during my ADI career. As a result, I am now working as an ADI for a successful local company. Tony is a fantastic trainer who really cares about his students and gives them a valuable support network, not just during the training but afterwards too and we now consider Tony to be a very good friend of the family.

I thought passing part 3 is impossible for me but Tony gave me not just good training but also lot of confidence. Also I was always worried about my language but Tony appreciate my efforts and I passed my part 3 5/5 in second attempt. After six months for check test I will again going to join Tony for training. Thanks Tony. God Bless You.

  • about us.hi, i like to firstly agree with all the previous comments posted about tony, and to add my own view as well. i trained for well over a year with another trainer in chelmsford, and dreaded the training sessions, and always came away thinking i just cant do this, and felt my previous trainer knocked my confidence. tony on the other hand spent a lot of time boosting my confidence, and never once made me feel i had performed badly even though i knew i was having a bad day. his method of training is very easy to follow. and if i didnt get it first time we just tried again. having the benefit of being able to see the lesson later on video on the blaine site or utube was invaluble so if you are looking for a trainer ,you are in the right place, and on the road to success, take my word for it , i passed my part 3 on 22nd august 2011, and you could to

I only had two six hour training sessions with him and I felt that I had a real chance of passing. I wished that I had more time to go down to Harpenden and train with him, but I didnt. I had my part 3 today in Belverdere TC in kent and I passed first attempt, grade 4 and 5!! I’m so glad I made the journey down to him. Thanks Tony!!

  • Tony Curran is a fantastic trainer, with the help of Blaine’s great instructional videos, Tony got me through my part 2 and 3 tests first time! He is someone you can really rely on, always there to go above and beyond, in order to get you there! I thought I would just try my part 3, even though it’s tough and i thought there was a good chance it would be good “just for the experience!”. With Tony’s words of wisdom echoing in my head, though the nerves, I was surprised to find I had passed with a 4/5! In the last year and a half of being an Independent ADI I have called upon Tony’s wealth of knowledge and experience numerous times and he has always been there to help! Thank you for all your support mate. You are a diamond!

  • Hi Tony,  sorry for the delay getting back to you as you can imagine I’ve been on cloud nine for last few days and only just getting over the disbelief of passing my part 3! Qualifying as an ADI would not have been possible without your help… Just wanted to say a BIG thank u to you for the high standard of training you gave me during the 2 day course. Those dreaded journeys on the M25 from London to you was well worth it! You are highly recommended.   Ayesha.

TestimionalsTestimionalsTestimionalsa really nice testimonial from Andy who passed his part 3 on wednesday, “I have had a passion for becoming a driving instructor for over 20 years, and when I decided to take a leap of faith I contacted Tony via his website having looked at numerous others. Tony responded quickly to my enquiry and guided me on how to get my initial checks and applications done. Once Tony and I had met I told him I wanted to pass in 3 months so he devised a bespoke package tailored to my specific needs for firstly getting through Part 1 then Parts 2 and 3. With no up front fees and a pay as you go package I could budget far easier too.I found Tony a joy to work with and be tutored by. His in depth knowledge of instructor training and role playing techniques not only helped me pass Part 1, but also Part …
2 first time with no faults. 3 months and 1 week after starting with Tony I passed my Part 3 at Luton first time.I would not hesitate to recommend Tony to anyone looking for instructor training, or check test mentoring. • For my Part 3 training I was fortunate enough to find Tony Curran,  a Blaine Walsh-recommended Trainer,  via the Blaine Walsh website Tony’s many years of experience as an PDI trainer was invaluable during my training with him.  He managed an effective balance between total focus during sessions, and relaxed atmosphere between. I was able to review my recorded performance after each visit, back at home  by watching my video-recorded sessions. From my basically untrained Part 3 level he helped me raise my standard of instruction to a ‘pass’ level   I achieved my dream pass at Part 3,  in Eastbourne on 25.09.2012 - nothing can describe the feeling I know it was well worth the many miles,  doing the round-trip between Seaford, Sussex  and Harpenden, Herts.   I would definitely recommend Tony Curran to any PDI who is undertaking his/her Part 3 training   George King – ADI

  • Nice testimonial from Ben who passed his part 3 on Monday, Tony, Once again many thanks for your help last week. Here’s a testimonial for you. 3 days before my ADI part 3 I had a terrible mock test with my usual instructor. In desperation I looked for last minute help. 4 hours with Tony the evening prior to my exam taught me so much and made me feel so confident. I passed with a grade 5/4. Needless to say I’ll be Employing Tony to develop my skills further and help with check test preparation. Thanks Tony! Every word is genuine! x   I’ve always wanted to be a driving instructor, and now my kids are older I thought, at last, now’s my chance. I found Tony through his website and gave him a call. That was definitely the best decision I made! Tony has been an excellent trainer and has helped me pass part one, part two, and now part three in just four and a half months! I travelled a round trip of 80 miles and it was worth the journey. Tony is patient, friendly and very supportive and I sincerely can’t thank him enough. Now I’ve achieved my goal and I’m starting my exciting new career as an Approved Driving Instructor. Huge thanks Tony!   Need a local driving instructor? • Michael Part 2 Pass .Having recently completed my Part 2 and 3 training with TC Instructor
Training I would fully endorse and recommend Tony for any PDI/ADI who wishes
to develop their instructional skills. From the outset Tony fully
accommodated my training needs, he delivered good lessons aimed at fault
identification and problem solving which were of excellent quality. The in
car training was relaxed but informative and Tony had the ability to adapt
his teaching style to my individual requirement. He is very patient and has a
wealth of knowledge when it comes to knowing what the examiners are looking
for. The days we spent together were demanding but really enjoyable with more
than a few laughs along the way.  Because of Tony I passed the part 2 and 3
tests first time and can’t thank him enough.

  • Tony, Just wanted to thank you with my deepest gratitude.   Coming to you with just a couple of weeks to my part 3 test I had no idea how I would of got through.   I learnt more in that 3 lessons I had with you than I did all of last year with my previous trainer whom I spent thousands.   I can not thank you enough for your confidence in me and pushing to get the best out of me, I can now proudly call my self a ADI.   You’ve made a friend for life,   Thank you once again,       You’re friend Khal

  • Just want to share a few words.. Although it may follow into an essay! It seems as though these recent months have flown past me like the wind passing my face…From the time I initially decided to seek the journey to become a driving instructor, it was very difficult to find a good trainer.. Eventually I met Tony Curran and immediately decided that he was the one.. I have enjoyed every lesson tony has taught me ..and yes.. We have had great laughs and tears ( only tonys’ tears!) throughout training but I would never look back to ever change or regret that I had the pleasure of learning from the best… I truly state that from my heart.. Although I did this to become a driving Instrutor .. I found a truly amazing person who now has become my best friend ( yes u got that right.. I’m his best friend) and I wish him all the very best in his life and profession. Tony… a journey that I wil never fail to ever forget . With your help I have a new road ahead .. A journey.. Full of surprises awaiting me… Thank u my hero.. Love u always.. Saira :-) Ps: it’s now become an English assignment! X so sorry..

  • ifet and abu 036What can I say about Tony Curran that people before me, and I’m in no doubt many more after me can say. Tony is the best in what he does. He’s teaching methods are second to none. He adapts he’s teaching methods to the pupil, and to there needs. He brings the best out of his pupil, and ready to test standard in record time. But above all with the confidants that you can pass.  But he doesn’t leave it there. Even when you pass his there to give you advise and help when ever needed. That’s why Tony isn’t just the best at what he does, he is The Best of the Best.  So Tony coming across your name and learning with you was one of my best life choices I have made.  Not only did I gain an ADI Driving Instructors Licence, an Adviser and a Mentor. Best of all I’ve gained a good friend.  And for that my Family and I are grateful to you.  Forever in dept  Nico Adamou ProDrive Professional  Driver Training

  • Nice testimonial fro Ali who passed his part 3 yesterday. Passed my test today and couldn’t be happier! After failed attempts with other instructors, I was recommended to Tony Curran and was told about his brilliant teaching techniques and haven’t looked back since. At first I found it difficult to adapt to new methods being taught but with Tonys encouragement I got more confident in my own abilities. It wouldn’t have been possible without Tonys support and expertise and I am overjoyed at achieving my dream of becoming an ADI. If you’re looking to become an ADI, Tony is your man!

  • hi Tony   Just wanted to say thanks so much for your help, I got a 5 on my check test which was an improvement on the previous 4 two and a half years ago. The 2 hours training was really helpful, even tho in the end I took a different pupil and a different topic, the element of being more pro-active that we worked on has helped in my lessons as well, pupils are telling me they feel we are achieving more on a lesson. So thanks a million! Aliza

  • I would like to thank you Tony for the support you give to anyone who wanted to become a driving instructor. I have been watching your lesson on You tube. I found the most fantastic one when you train with Goulam and Debs they are the best to make me learn because they does not talk fast and les talk nut more express. I pass my test on Thursday 4/4 moving off and stopping - meeting, clearance, adequate and anticipation. The reason I watched your video because I'll been honest its free, easy excellent trainer. THANK YOU :)

  • Tony has worked hard to get me through my part 3 training in just 4 weeks, and pitched his lesson at the right level to ensure that he got everything out of me without leaving me unsure of what I'm doing. His videos taken in the lesson and those of other students allow pupils to continue learning outside of the car, and it's amazing what this combination can do. Thank you for everything you've done Tony, I passed with a 5/5 at luton on 21st Jan 2014.

  • This is Nageena from West Yorkshire I have recently qualified as an approved driving instructor. I did part one and two on my own I then had my part three training with an ex examiner who was very good but when I struggled I also started watching you're training videos on you tube which inspired me a lot, in fact when I stopped making progress during my lessons you're videos helped me to understand the teaching methods I needed as an instructor. I particular enjoyed watching Andy's and Ifets videos and not forgetting you're snappy remarks which always made me laugh. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you,I hope you carry on with you're good work and inspire others like myself.
